Golden Bears Play 2010 Regular Season Finale at Winona State

Apr. 30

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Concordia baseball team heads into the final weekend of the regular season clinging to playoff hopes with a 14-13 league record in eight place. They need to jump two spots to get into the top-6 for an NSIC Tournament berth to keep their season alive. In order to do that, they'll need three, if not four, wins at #30 Winona State who is third in the NSIC with a 21-7 league record with aspirations of a league title. For the Warriors, however, they'll need three or more likely four wins if they want to clinch an NSIC Regular Season Championship. With both teams needing sweeps, it should make for an intense final weekend. You can follow all the action LIVE on the web from Warrior Gameday Central. | NSIC SCORES | COMPLETE RELEASE

With the standings and schedule above, if Concordia wins 3 or 4 games, they'll finish either 17-14 or 18-13 in league play. They'll need two of the three teams ahead of them (UMD, Wayne, Augie) to lose at least three of their games to have a chance. If that happens, Concordia can't end in a tie for sixth with either Wayne State or Augustana based on league head-to-head tie breakers but their season series mark of 0-4 against UMD was non-conference and won't factor into a tie.

The outlook is bleak for a playoff spot, but all Concordia can do now is finish with wins!
