Concordia Alum Dustin Campbell Celebrates Brett Favre's Game Winner

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Former Concordia baseball all-conference player Dustin Campbell (1998-00) had the best seat in the Metrodome and was able to experience the moment of a lifetime as he was able to celebrate Minnesota Viking quarterback Brett Favre's game-winning touchdown pass with Favre on the sideline on Sunday, September 27 against the San Francisco 49ers. Campbell is currently an assistant equipment manager with the Minnesota Vikings organization. Here, he is pictured with Favre and head athletic trainer Eric Sugarman.

At Concordia, Campbell was a career .307 hitter for CU in 296 at bats with 48 career runs, 35 RBI and seven stolen bases. He also pitched 20 innings in 1998, striking out 21. He was a two-sport athlete at CU as he also excelled on the gridiron with 4,155 passing yards and 32 TD passes, ranking sixth and fifth in football history, respectively.
