Hendrickson signs 3-year deal with Chicago Bears

May. 14 - Tyler HendricksonCHICAGO - Concordia University senior Tyler Hendrickson (St. Paul, Minn.) realized a dream on Sunday when he agreed to a three-year contract with the Chicago Bears. Hendrickson was one of seven rookie free agents to agree to a three-year deal with the organization after a three-day rookie minicamp tryout that featured 33 rookie tryout players. OFFICIAL RELEASE

Gilbert makes headlines in Jacksonville

May. 14 - Jacksonville JaguarsJACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Concordia Univeristy senior Charles Gilbert (Jacksonville, Fla.) has had a chance to pursue the NFL this month and made some headlines with his hometown team in the process. Gilbert was one of 27 players (20 rookies) invited to the Jacksonville Jaquars rookie mini-camp. The official team website provided a feature story on Gilbert, who wants "to be the Percy Harvin of Jacksonville."

For Blooming Prairie, Minn.-native Spencer Ohm, these childhood fantasies are within reach as he has been invited to the Minnesota Vikings rookie camp on a try-out basis. "As cliche' as it may sound, it really is a dream come true to be able to put on a Vikings helmet and run around practice with them, even if it is only for a few days," Ohm said. Defense Outlasts Offense to Pick Up Spring Game Victory

Apr. 28 - ST. PAUL, Minn. - Using a custom scoring system the Concordia University defense won the first spring game of the Ryan Williams era 55-46. The defense forced two interceptions and two fumbles including a defensive touchdown en route to the victory on a cold, windy night at Sea Foam Stadium. PHOTO GALLERY

Spring Football Game next Saturday night under the lights!

Apr. 20 - ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Concordia University football team will play their annual spring football game under the lights next Saturday evening, with kickoff for the game at 7:45 p.m. at Sea Foam Stadium. Spectators and community members can take part in more than just the game, though, with a CU Football Youth Camp running from 4:30 to 6:45 p.m. (check-in at 3:30). The team takes the field for warm-ups and a practice session at 7:15 p.m. which will be open to the public. The spring game will return to an offense vs. defense format for the 2012 game.
